LPG Gas Cylinder Price : If you are also an LPG gas consumer, then there’s great news for you! You can now get an LPG gas cylinder for just ₹450. However, to avail of this benefit, you’ll need to complete a few important steps. Let’s understand the full details.

LPG Gas Cylinder Price

All the beneficiaries of the Ujjwala Yojana (PM Ujjwala Yojana) are in for some good news. Under this scheme, beneficiaries can now get a gas cylinder for ₹450, but it is mandatory to complete the KYC (Know Your Customer) process.

The government has now made it easier for such families to complete their e-KYC at ration shops. Ration shops have already started conducting e-KYC. The government has provided all ration dealers with an option for Jan Aadhaar verification in their POS (Point of Sale) machines, enabling Jan Aadhaar KYC to be done smoothly.

Across the district, there are over 1.45 lakh LPG consumers under various gas agencies benefiting from the Ujjwala Yojana. Due to a limited number of gas agencies, many consumers have not yet linked their Jan Aadhaar for gas subsidy purposes. To resolve this, the government has provided the Ujjwala Yojana beneficiary data to district supply officers, and POS machines at ration shops have been updated with the Jan Aadhaar seeding option. Beneficiary families have already started completing the process, and the government is actively monitoring the progress of this work.

Over 32,000 families yet to complete E-KYC

In the district, there are about 1.45 lakh Ujjwala Yojana families, out of which around 32,000 families have not yet completed their Jan Aadhaar seeding. These families have not been receiving gas subsidy benefits. Therefore, the government has made e-KYC facilities available at ration shops. The concerned families must link their LPG ID with Jan Aadhaar and complete their KYC to receive gas subsidies.

Increase in income for ration dealers

The introduction of e-KYC at ration shops will also benefit ration dealers financially. The government has decided to pay ₹5 per KYC completed. This means dealers will earn extra income based on the number of e-KYCs they complete.

The state government has now provided Jan Aadhaar seeding facilities at ration shops for Ujjwala Yojana consumers. Beneficiaries can visit their nearest ration shop to link their LPG ID with Jan Aadhaar through the POS machine.
