Delhi Metro : 7 new Metro Stations will be built in Delhi Metro, Traveling will be Easier.

Giving great relief to the people of Delhi, the railway administration has announced the construction of a new metro corridor. This modern public transport system will be part of the fourth phase of the Delhi Metro project. Under this plan, seven new metro stations will be built, aiming to provide better and faster connectivity for the residents of the capital.

This new corridor will connect Lajpat Nagar to Saket G Block, and the entire project is expected to be completed within three years.

RVNL to Handle Delhi Metro Project for the First Time

For the first time, the Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) will be responsible for executing a Delhi Metro project. RVNL has shared key details about this corridor, including the list of upcoming stations and the construction style. The entire route will feature an elevated viaduct, and all seven stations will be built as elevated platforms — meaning they will be constructed above the ground level on a bridge-like structure.

List of Stations on the New Route

The metro line will pass through the following seven stations:

A three-coach metro train will operate on this route, with each coach accommodating up to 300 passengers at a time. The stations on this line will be shorter in length (about 74 meters) compared to regular metro stations, which will help reduce both construction time and cost.

Cost and Project Details

The elevated corridor will span approximately 7.3 kilometers and is estimated to cost ₹447.42 crore.

According to the Managing Director of RVNL, this project aligns with the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation’s (DMRC) vision of developing a world-class urban transport system. He emphasized that this initiative represents a significant contribution to the future of Delhi’s urban infrastructure. RVNL is committed to completing the project with excellence, safety, and innovation as its core principles.

The MD also mentioned that RVNL’s teams are already active on several metro corridor projects across the country. However, this will be their first-ever involvement in a Delhi Metro project. He assured that the project will be completed within the stipulated timeline.

In summary, this new Lajpat Nagar–Saket G Block Metro Corridor will not only enhance connectivity between South Delhi areas but also ease the daily commute for thousands of passengers. With modern design, elevated platforms, and efficient construction, it marks another step toward making Delhi’s transport infrastructure more advanced and commuter-friendly.
